• FCP_MEDIAOFFLINE I loaded a project today and two clips displayed “MEDIA OFFLINE”.  So, I went to “reconnect media” and received an error message when attempting to reconnect.  There was a problem with the content.  After a few more attempts to reconnect automatically and manually, I decided the next step was to try to re-capture the footage.

So, I connected DV Deck via FireWire and loaded the source tape.  Then, I went to the clip in the media bin that was source for the media that was displaying offline in the time line.  I right-clicked on the clip and chose “BATCH CAPTURE”.  Final Cut had the ins and outs logged already, so it was an automatic process.  The clip captured without a problem, then I was able to view and use it again in my timeline.
